came to us from the streets of Miami in very bad condition. Skinny, weak, but with those green eyes full of life that looked straight into your soul.
We took him to the vet immediately. The news wasn't good — his body couldn't take it anymore. We had to inject him every day for a month, and he always behaved incredibly. There wasn't much more to do, but what we could give him was something he had never had: companionship, warmth, and dignity.
Paquito lived his last 2 months surrounded by love. He slept in a soft bed, basked in the sun, explored the garden. He didn't die alone in the street. He died in peace, knowing that someone cared for him.
His story is why we exist. And there are many more kitties like him waiting outside.
